Jane is my favorite character in Emma, and I’d love to get to know her a little better. Whether you go with Frank/Jane, Frank/Jane/Emma, or Jane/Emma, what does Jane see in her partner(s)? What attracts her to them? (Or them to her?) How about an adventure they go on? What is it like keeping her relationship with Frank secret, and how freeing is it when it finally comes out? How does her life unfold after the book? In general, I’m particularly interested in something with joy and/or love. Humor is also great – Frank seems like a big joker and I’d be interested to get Jane’s reaction to that, for instance.
I’m also interested in Emma & Henry’s relationship, particularly from Henry’s POV. What is it like having a daughter like Emma? How does his life change from the time Emma stops having a governess to the time she’s ‘safely’ engaged? Does Emma ever try to matchmake him?
Finally, I’m quite intrigued by the possibilities in Emma/OFC. What kind of woman might Emma fall in love with? How might she build a relationship, and what kind of adventures might she have? Whether you want to write/draw a sparkling golden summer afternoon on a picnic, with Emma in high fettle and making her girlfriend laugh, or an involved friends-to-lovers story with adventures and misunderstandings and matchmaking, I’ll love it all.

Inspector Alleyn Mysteries - Ngaio Marsh
{Alleyn/Troy}
Within the Alleyn mysteries, my favorite character is Troy and I always, always want more Troy. I tend to find Alleyn a bit bland, though having Troy around definitely improves him. I enjoy their relationship, and particularly enjoy the mysteries where Troy is on the scene of a murder and there’s a clear tension for Alleyn between trying to protect her from the nastiness of murder while still doing his job. (And especially how Troy isn’t always patient with those efforts at protection.)
I would love a story which flipped the usual dynamic and had Troy in control of a situation, Alleyn relatively powerless, and Troy trying to protect him. I leave it up to you to figure out how that might be accomplished; one idea I had was that Alleyn is either implicated in a murder/professional misconduct or abducted by a murderer (or knocked out & in hospital?), and Troy has to find the real solution and/or rescue him (perhaps with assistance from Fox on the official side of things).I know she’s not really a detective mind on his level, not like the Wimsey & Harriet dynamic for instance, but I’d still enjoy it.
Alternatively, I’d love a story about Troy and her art. She’s presented as a huge, huge talent and I’d love to see more about that. Relationship-wise, I really like how Alleyn is so supportive of her art. Alleyn sits for another portrait, and after the sittings they move into kisses (& perhaps more?) Alleyn is working on a case that involves artists and needs to call Troy in as an expert witness?

Little Women (1994)
{Laurie/Jo, Laurie & Jo, Jo/OFC}
Jo is my favorite of the March sisters (although I also love Meg). And Laurie/Jo was one of my first OTPs, so I got all nostalgic when I saw it in the tag set. :) Nowadays I realize that there were some reasons that they might not have fit well together, especially when he first proposed. But I still ship it!
So what I would particularly love from a Laurie/Jo fic would be a story in which they both grew up, matured, and became independent, and then found their way back to each other. Maybe they try just being friends again for a while, only for Jo to eventually realize (perhaps with a shock) that she’s fallen in love with him (and Laurie never really stopped). A Laurie who respects Jo’s profession and is happy for her to continue after their marriage. A Jo who now loves Laurie as a man and not just as a brother.
(Or 300 words of kissing that takes the above as read, haha!)
If you don’t ship Laurie/Jo, that’s totally fine too! I’d love to read a fic about their friendship, as kids, teens, or adults. If writing about their adult friendship. I don’t ship Laurie/Amy or Jo/Bhaer, so I’d prefer a story that was set in a world where Laurie and Jo were both single, or one that just didn’t mention Amy & Bhaer.
And finally, I’d love to read a fic in which Jo moved to New York City and fell in love with a woman there. Either a fic in which falling in love with a woman suddenly makes a lot of things fall into place for Jo, as she realizes why despite trying she was never able to look at Laurie romantically, or one that just focuses on the joy of falling in love. :)

I adore this film!
For Aurélia/Jamie, David/Natalie, John/Judy, Headmistress/Her Partner, and Billy Mack & Joe, I love their canon dynamics and would love to see a snippet of their lives proceeding happily. (Or, in the case of Headmistress/Her Partner, a past memory of their life together.) Jamie’s novel being a bestseller and Aurélia and him continuing to learn each other’s languages, for example. John & Judy telling the ‘official’ story of how they met, and perhaps one of them breaking into the business and becoming more than a stand-in. Billy Mack & Joe spending quality time together and being hilarious. David & Natalie getting married, and Natalie winning the nation’s hearts (but nobody calling her fat because I hate that).
For Karl/Sarah, Colin/Tony, and Billy Mack/Joe, I’d love to see a story or drawing of them getting together. I ship Karl/Sarah a lot, and I think Colin/Tony and Billy Mack/Joe sound like a lot of fun too.
And finally, for Mark/Peter and Juliet/Mark/Peter, I can’t be the only one to want fic where Mark’s infatuation with Juliet is a displaced manifestation of his subconscious feelings for his best friend. I’d be totally here for fic in which that comes out and Peter finds that he feels the same way. Both an open marriage in which Juliet’s okay with Mark/Peter and a polyamorous relationship in which it’s a full triangle would be great (I’d rather not read fic in which Peter’s cheating on Juliet, though). Or if you want to write Mark/Peter without Juliet at all, a canon-divergence AU in which Mark realizes his feelings for Peter and acts on them before Juliet comes on the scene would work as well.

I just love Spy Kids so much, and Gregorio and Ingrid in particular. Tell me a story set during their courtship, with high derring do and spy things and the quiet moments together that make them know the other is The One. Give me identity porn and convoluted ways to manage to get together and have sex (because somehow I doubt they got engaged without establishing sexual compability first!) Does anyone in either of their countries guess? Are they the worst-kept secret in the espionage community? Or do they actually pull it off and surprise everyone when it turns out that they’re together? And how might their respective spy cultures and practices differ?
Or tell me about the shenanigans that happen on their honeymoon, as they’re fleeing assassins and getting into firefights and blending into the background like they’re just normal tourists, and also taking every opportunity to snog (and more). (A drawing of them kissing in a doorway In Disguise as their pursuers race past, perhaps!)
Or how about a story that’s set after the events of the first movie, as Ingrid and Gregorio adjust to their new reality with the kids knowing? And did their foray back into being active spies again reignite their sex life back to old heights? Did technology change in new and exciting ways and they have to learn it all to get back in the spy groove?

Midsomer Murders (TV)
{Cully & Joyce, Joyce/Tom, Faith Alexander/Janet Bailey, Freddy Chettham/Tallis Filby}
I love the three Barnabys. Joyce & Tom are perfect together, and Cully is very believable as their daughter (I can definitely see both Joyce & Tom in her). Any story or drawing that captures the sweet and funny home dynamic of the Barnabys is great with me, whether set in an existing episode or in a case you make up (or in a rare time in which Tom isn’t investigating a murder). If you like casefic, maybe Joyce & Tom are at a performance of Cully’s and one of the actors in the cast is murdered! Or just a cozy night in with Joyce and Tom on a rare quiet evening, with Joyce’s questionable cooking and lazy kisses that may or may not develop into something more. :) I also love Cully & Joyce’s relationship as it peeps around the margins of Tom’s work – perhaps you could tell a story about what Cully & Joyce are doing together while Tom is popping in and out investigating murders.
Faith Alexander & Janet Bailey are from an episode called “The Animal Within” (Season 10, Episode 2). Faith, an American woman, comes to visit her British uncle, surprising the village because wealthy Uncle Rex had told everyone that she and her children had been killed in a car accident a year before. But the village is in for another surprise when Rex’s body is found! Who can have done it? I love how the episode sets up Faith and Janet’s relationship – the instant attraction, the flirting, the sharing of clothes, the touchy-feeliness. All totally common for a heterosexual attraction – much less common to see a sweet normalized lesbian relationship! And yes, while they don’t actually kiss or explicitly make it clear that they’re together, Faith literally leaves her dastardly husband to go travel the world with Janet, and Barnaby and Jones seem 100% clear on what’s up at the end of the episode (the “loin-instigated” line). So! I would love to see the scene when they confess their attraction, whether in words or kisses. ;) Has it happened before the end of the episode, and we just didn’t see it? Does it happen while they’re traveling abroad? Do they laugh about how the shenanigans over Rex’s will ended up being moot because they ended up together anyway?
Freddy Chettham & Tallis Filby are from an episode called “The Creeper (Season 12, Episode 6). They’re a side plot from what turns out to be the main story, but I instantly fell in love with them. Basically, they’ve been raised their whole lives as neighbors, but told as soon as they were old enough to understand that they were actually half-siblings (Freddy’s father wasn’t able to have children so he and his wife asked their friend, Tallis’s father, to help them out). But it’s clear from the beginning of the episode that Tallis & Freddy, ostensibly best friends, are actually in love with each other, although they haven’t admitted it to each other because incest. So when it turns out at the end of the episode that oops, Freddy’s mother actually got pregnant by a third man, and he and Tallis aren’t actually related at all, it comes as a great great relief and they decide to run away together. They’re technically penniless, but the fact that (in another plot thread) Tallis is a ninja-like sneak thief called The Creeper and can support them by breaking into houses is bonus fun. So! I would love to read a story about their future adventures together. Or romance/porn that acknowledges how their relationship flirts with the incest taboo (they’ve been half-siblings most of their lives, and now they’re not related? ‘Raised-as-siblings’ counts as incest to me, even though the characters are absolutely thrilled that they aren’t related). Is Freddy turned on by Tallis’s Creeper persona? Do they embark on an international crime spree? What adventures do they have (in between falling into bed together, because that is so definitely happening all the time)? What do their families think when they hear that the children they’ve thought of as siblings all their lives have eloped?
Drawings: Tom & Joyce on a quiet night in. Cully performing for them, either in their house or on the stage. Janet & Faith on their travels, either laughing together, looking at the sights while holding hands, or kissing. Freddy watching Tallis being “The Creeper”, or helping her into her Creeper costume, or kissing her in it.

Political RPF – US 21st c.

So as I talked about in my Yuletide letter (there are a lot of Hillary prompts in there if that interests you), I adore Hillary. I also have sincerely respected and loved Michelle, Barack, and Joe these past eight years. Like I said with Hillary, I don’t always agree with their political positions. And I don’t think any political figure can exist (or that any person can exist, really) without doing problematic things from time to time. So much of what’s wrong with our country today is systemic, and Barack didn’t do as much to combat that during his Presidency as I would have hoped. But all that is a preface to me saying: despite any policy disagreements we occasionally had, and despite acknowledging that there are dark elements to Barack’s Presidency like there are with all presidencies, I sincerely respect and love these people. They went out there and did their best to make the country a better place, working for the good of America to the best of their ability despite the existence of a fuckton of shit coming at them from the other side. They are true public servants, and that means a lot to me.
Draw me Michelle working in her garden, as Barack watches with a smile on his face. Draw me Michelle & Barack kissing in the Oval Office, or Barack & Joe at a working lunch, or Hillary watching Michelle give her Convention speech this year, or Hillary in the Oval Office with the first female President.
Write me a story about a quiet day in the White House, insofar as one can possibly exist. Tell me about how Joe & Barack’s relationship deepened over the years, to the point where Barack offered to cover Beau’s medical bills so that Joe wouldn’t have to sell their house to pay for them. Tell me a story based on one of the hilarious post-election Joe & Barack memes (or a meta story in which they laugh about the existence of those memes, with or without Michelle there as well). Tell me a story about Michelle and Hillary after the election, Michelle comforting Hillary and Hillary comforting Michelle. Tell me about Barack & Hillary’s relationship over the years. Give me an AU in which Hillary fell in love with a woman. (And again, all of the prompts in my Yuletide letter still apply.)
Make me laugh, make me smile. Lighthearted moments in the Oval – the depth of the bonds between these public servants – professional relationships that turn into friendships – the shared determination to keep fighting, to keep soldiering on, to make America a better place.

All totally common for a heterosexual attraction – much less common to see a sweet normalized lesbian relationship! And yes, while they don’t actually kiss or explicitly make it clear that they’re together, Faith literally leaves her dastardly husband to go travel the world with Janet, and Barnaby and Jones seem 100% clear on what’s up at the end of the episode (the “loin-instigated” line). So! I would love to see the scene when they confess their attraction, whether in words or kisses. ;) Has it happened before the end of the episode, and we just didn’t see it? Does it happen while they’re traveling abroad? Do they laugh about how the shenanigans over Rex’s will ended up being moot because they ended up together anyway?
Freddy Chettham & Tallis Filby are from an episode called “The Creeper (Season 12, Episode 6). They’re a side plot from what turns out to be the main story, but I instantly fell in love with them. Basically, they’ve been raised their whole lives as neighbors, but told as soon as they were old enough to understand that they were actually half-siblings (Freddy’s father wasn’t able to have children so he and his wife asked their friend, Tallis’s father, to help them out). But it’s clear from the beginning of the episode that Tallis & Freddy, ostensibly best friends, are actually in love with each other, although they haven’t admitted it to each other because incest. So when it turns out at the end of the episode that oops, Freddy’s mother actually got pregnant by a third man, and he and Tallis aren’t actually related at all, it comes as a great great relief and they decide to run away together. They’re technically penniless, but the fact that (in another plot thread) Tallis is a ninja-like sneak thief called The Creeper and can support them by breaking into houses is bonus fun. So! I would love to read a story about their future adventures together. Or romance/porn that acknowledges how their relationship flirts with the incest taboo (they’ve been half-siblings most of their lives, and now they’re not related? ‘Raised-as-siblings’ counts as incest to me, even though the characters are absolutely thrilled that they aren’t related). Is Freddy turned on by Tallis’s Creeper persona? Do they embark on an international crime spree? What adventures do they have (in between falling into bed together, because that is so definitely happening all the time)? What do their families think when they hear that the children they’ve thought of as siblings all their lives have eloped?

So as I talked about in my Yuletide letter (there are a lot of Hillary prompts in there if that interests you), I adore Hillary. I also have sincerely respected and loved Michelle, Barack, and Joe these past eight years. Like I said with Hillary, I don’t always agree with their political positions. And I don’t think any political figure can exist (or that any person can exist, really) without doing problematic things from time to time. So much of what’s wrong with our country today is systemic, and Barack didn’t do as much to combat that during his Presidency as I would have hoped. But all that is a preface to me saying: despite any policy disagreements we occasionally had, and despite acknowledging that there are dark elements to Barack’s Presidency like there are with all presidencies, I sincerely respect and love these people. They went out there and did their best to make the country a better place, working for the good of America to the best of their ability despite the existence of a fuckton of shit coming at them from the other side. They are true public servants, and that means a lot to me.

Tell me about how Joe & Barack’s relationship deepened over the years, to the point where Barack offered to cover Beau’s medical bills so that Joe wouldn’t have to sell their house to pay for them. Tell me a story based on one of the hilarious post-election Joe & Barack memes (or a meta story in which they laugh about the existence of those memes, with or without Michelle there as well). Tell me a story about Michelle and Hillary after the election, Michelle comforting Hillary and Hillary comforting Michelle. Tell me about Barack & Hillary’s relationship over the years. Give me an AU in which Hillary fell in love with a woman. (And again, all of the prompts in my Yuletide letter still apply.)

Tell me a story set during their courtship, with high derring do and spy things and the quiet moments together that make them know the other is The One. Give me identity porn and convoluted ways to manage to get together and have sex. Does anyone in either of their countries guess? Are they the worst-kept secret in the espionage community? Or do they actually pull it off and surprise everyone when it turns out that they’re together? And how might their respective spy cultures and practices differ?
Or tell me about the shenanigans that happen on their honeymoon, as they’re fleeing assassins and getting into firefights and blending into the background like they’re just normal tourists, and also taking every opportunity to snog (and more). Or tell me about super-cool spy technology and how they use it on each other! Or maybe it’s a soulmate AU and they have major consternation when they realize their soulmate is an opposing spy! Or… the list goes on. Fun, sweet, cute, dramatic, identity porn, love at first sight, double agents, case fic, derring-do, chase scenes, love in the midst of chaos – it’s all good.
